GFT - Selfie Time

                                 

So.

This is a little project (tiny in comparison to some people's, but I'm proud nonetheless) I've been working on the past few couple of days. I did actually lose a fair bit of shading progress, and that shook me a bit, but I'm glad and proud of the final project.

For anyone reading this who didn't know, these characters all belong to the wonderful JimPAVLICA , an amazing, inspiring and bright artist and person. For reference, at the bottom left is Papyrus, wearing one of his shirts with a common nickname 'Tall Glass of Milk', right of him is Jim's perception of himself in Undertale and generally how I see Jim. Above Papyrus is Boulder, Jim's gemsona who is kind of hard to draw, and to the right is Sunny, Boulder's best friend. And the giant, sparkly and exceptionally-hip guy is Rolling Flash, the fusion of Boulder and Sunny (I know this isn't possible, but I feel like I had to add everyone- I nearly added Garda, but just pretend he's poking his little nose out of somewhere. (I had no energy nor patience left to add him, unfortunately)). These characters are really, really inspiring to me, not really personally evoking my emotions but seeing what they mean and what they have done for Jim. I'm not gonna say hardly anything about it, as it's not my place to say, but these characters and what they represent really give me hope.

Jim, if you're reading this, thank you for creating your art. I can't say it enough. You've inspired me to keep arting, to self-insert and improve in my art, even probably inadvertently to tell a friend what I've been dealing with which may eventually lead to me getting better (for reference's sake, I'm like 98% sure I'm depressed, so that's fun to deal with on a daily basis). Jim has given me a little bit of hope, the first bit I've had for maybe a year. Anyways. Jim is an amazing, talented, kind, generous, is full of integrity and humorous and so many other things. I've been debating becoming a patron or commissioning once I figure the thing I want immortalised in his bubbly, beautiful style, but I am very cautious with spending money even though it would be the best money I've ever spent.

So, here's to you, Jim. Thank you for everything. I will never stop thanking you.

Also, on a side note, this is an improvement/milestone for me, as it compares my first 'project', which now I look back is... interesting to say the least, and that was about four months ago. I've come so far in my art style, and that's really good. (Also I hope this is okay, Jim, if you're reading this. I'm now banging my head on the table, because this would have been a great idea for your contest, but hopefully this makes it to the cupboard)
